Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Environmental Health and Food Resources Quality at the Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University. Representative of the Technical Standardization Committee TC 36 “Hops and their Processed Products” and the Scientific and Methodological Council of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection (Phytosanitary Safety and Control in Plant Production Section). Founder and board member of the NGO “Institute of Good Food Ukraine.”

Author of over 550 scientific papers on agronomy, plant health protection, organic production, agrophytocenoses, etc., including:

– Textbooks and monographs;

– 50 utility model patents;

– Over 15 articles in scientific journals indexed in international scientometric databases with high citation indices, such as Scopus and Web of Science;

– Articles in scientific periodicals indexed in international scientometric databases, as well as scientific, methodological, and practical recommendations for production;

– Co-author of three Ukrainian Higher Education Standards:

● first (bachelor’s);

● second (master’s);

 

● third (Ph.D.) levels in specialty 202 “Plant Protection and Quarantine”.

From 2013 to 2015, he was a representative in the scientific and methodological commission for the specialty “Plant Protection” at the State Institution “Scientific and Methodological Center for Information and Analytical Support of Higher Education Institutions “Agroeducation” of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

From 2016 to 2023, he was a representative of the Zhytomyr National Agroecological University in the Scientific and Methodological Commission 11 on Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Science of the Subcommittee 202 “Plant Protection and Quarantine” of the Higher Education Sector of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

 

During 2020-2021, he was a member of the dissertation council D 14.083.01. for the defense of dissertations in the specialty 101-ecology at Polesie National University.

Education

In 1999, he graduated from the State Agroecological Academy of Ukraine with a degree in Agronomy. He defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Agricultural Sciences in phytopathology (06.01.11) in 2004. The dissertation topic was: “Agroecological Foundations of a Wheat Protection System from Septoria in the Polesia and Northern Forest-Steppe of Ukraine.”

In 2008, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor in the Department of Plant Protection.

In 2018, he defended his dissertation, “Mycoses of Triticale (Triticosecale Witt.) and Spelt (Triticum spelta L.) and the Rationale for Ecologically Safe Protection Systems in Polesia, Ukraine,” and received a Doctor of Agricultural Sciences degree in Phytopathology (specialty 06.01.11).

 

In 2019, he received the academic title of Professor in the Department of Plant Protection.
