Myself Summary
Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor
HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION «PODILLIA STATE UNIVERSITY»
Direction of scientific research:
I am researching technologies and rational usage of fodder phytocenoses in the green conveyor system based on pasture pulp and cereal seed and natural grass stands, mixtures of annual traditional crops (spring vetch, oats, oil radish, rapeseed, white mustard) and perennial non-traditional high-yielding (Silphium perfoliatum, Jerusalem artichoke, Garden burnet polygamous) fodder crops.
I have eight-years practical experience in creating the optimal alfalfa seed crops for pasture and 22 years of experience in organizing feed base and land use for various branches of animal husbandry (cattle breeding, horse breeding, goat breeding, sheep breeding).
Experience of practical implementation of scientific results:
Based on the results of my field of research, the scientific and technological foundations of the formation and use of fodder phytocenoses adaptive to climate change trends, with a combination of pasture, mixtures of annual and single-species crops of non-traditional perennial crops in the system of conveyor production of green fodder in the Western Forest Steppe have been developed.
Additional information about my experience:
– the productivity and basic biometric parameters of pasture grass stands under a five-cycle mode of use were established depending on the participation of various types of leguminous components and plant growth biostimulators;
– a functional model of the mowing-pasture complex was developed, which ensures stable production of grass fodder under various, including abnormal, weather conditions;
– the significant influence of cabbage crops on the productivity and feed value of mixtures of annual crops was established, and the terms of their mowing were optimized for the production of various types of grass fodder in the system of mowing-pasture green conveyor;
– taking into account the parameters of the morphological features of big varieties, the regimes of mowing and pasture use of Silphium perfoliatum for the production of green fodder and silage are optimized;
– the peculiarities of growth and development, as well as productivity, nutrition and energy intensity of different varieties of Jerusalem artichoke for the production of Grass fodder and tubers, depending on fertilizers and technological measures of cultivation, were revealed;
– the peculiarities of growth and development and productivity have been established, as well as the substantiated possibility of introducing the Garden burnet polygamous into the Western Forest Steppe as a pasture crop of long-term use;
– the most economically and energetically efficient models and technologies for the formation and use of various fodder phytocenoses were determined, and a cutting-pasture green conveyor belt was developed.
I am a co-executor in the cluster from experimental studies on the cultivation of Kernza® in the conditions of Ukraine (in the frame of AFES).
