– 2 manuals “Phytoncidology with the Basics of Growing and Using Phytoncidal Medicinal Plants”;

– 2 manuals on Trophology;

– 8 scientific articles indexed in the international databases Scopus, Web of Science, Core Collection, and Index Corenicus;

– 98 scientific articles in professional national and international journals;

– 49 production recommendations;

– 28 educational, scientific, and methodological manuals for studying a range of educational disciplines;

 

– 180 abstracts of papers at international and all-Ukrainian scientific conferences.

He co-authored and published the first Ukrainian manual on healthy nutrition for Homo sapiens – Trophology, approved by the Academic Council of Poliesie National University.

Key priority and relevant scientific and educational areas:

– scientific foundations for creating sustainable urban phytocenoses with increased resistance to biotic and abiotic factors;

– substantiation of the prospects for the development of the new interdisciplinary field of Trophology within the life sciences. Trophology (Ancient Greek: τροφή – nutrition; λόγος – science);

– the study of the nutritional patterns of biota, the formation and functioning of its trophic chains at all levels of the trophosphere organization (authored by [the author]);

– substantiation of the prospects for the development of such new fields as: Vitaterology, Vitalogy, and Phytovinculology.

 

Based on the research results, the university introduced a new academic discipline, Trophology, for the first time in Ukraine in 2018.

– National Record of Ukraine “Largest number of meat-free dishes in one location” (May 14, 2023);

Education

 

From 1967 to 1972, he studied at the Faculty of Plant Protection of the Ukrainian Agricultural Academy and received a degree in Plant Protection. He worked as a senior researcher at the Volyn Regional Agricultural Experimental Station. From 1978 to 1981, he completed his postgraduate studies at the Ukrainian Research Institute of Plant Protection, where he defended his PhD dissertation (1982).

Professional Experience

Since May 1981, he has worked at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine as a senior research fellow, assistant, associate professor, and deputy dean of the Faculty of Plant Protection.

Until July 2016, he worked as an associate professor in the Department of Integrated Plant Protection, and later, until 2019, as a leading research fellow and head of a state research project.

From 2018 to 2023, he was an associate professor in the Department of Phytocenosis Health and Trophology at Poliesie National University.

From April 2024 to the present, he is an associate professor in the Department of Environmental Health and Food Resource Quality at Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University.
